We provide opportunities to develop a way of thinking through experience to make children’s dreams come true, as well as building their confidence to achieve their dreams and goals. For some children those dreams are: “I want to be an astronaut” or “I want to be a rocket developer “

We expect children to become people who can be successful in any field in the future, by guiding them toward their goal of becoming proficient in space development, which is a very difficult task.



Encourage Motivation by “Practical Way of Learning”「活用型学習」でモチベーションアップ

The following three points are considered important in education today.
1 Acquiring basic and fundamental knowledge and skills for certain tasks.
2 Developing abilities to think, judge and apply what they have learned to solve problems.
3 Developing attitudes to take the initiative in learning (be proactive in learning).
It is important to relate theory and practice.

The Central Education Council has proposed a reform plan to discontinue “The National Center Test for University Admissions” in order to depart from the cramming way of learning, and to introduce a new examination. This new examination would focus more on interviews, short essays and group discussions to demonstrate a more practical use of knowledge.

Regardless of the success or failure of the reform plan relating to university entrance examinations, acquiringknowledge learning and discovery-oriented learning means being proactive in learning, using curiosity and a quest for knowledge in order to achieve one’s future vision. We believe this will affect the student’s desire to learn as well as their life choices, career-path decisions and motivations for work when they grow up. It can be considered one of the most important life behaviors.

One of the social challenges is the current situation where children “Lose interest in science”.

As a result of the recent decline in interest in science among children, there is a problem that the next generation of researchers and engineers is decreasing and therefore the foundation for manufacturing and innovation are destabilizing. Selecting the path of science and engineering by young people, and improving science and academic performance among technology students, is an important step in preventing the weakening of competitiveness of Japanese industry.

The best way of learning science is to motivate children through a hands-on approach that encourages them to think and through experimentation create things using the skills learned. Among their reactions will be: “I did it” or “It’s fun” and “Why?” This is a departure from the junior high school emphasis on “memorizing”, instead focusing on “thinking”. And it is part of “Practical Way of Learning”: “Acquiring basic and fundamental knowledge”, ”Applying the knowledge and skills they have learned” and “Exploring tasks“.

Correcting the children’s “Losing interest in science” problem is directly related to recovering the competitiveness of Japanese industry as well as establishing the self-learning style and enlarging their life choices in the future.





Practicing the cycle of Acquiring -> Applying ->Exploring習得→活用→探求のサイクルの実践

The three processes of “Acquiring basic and fundamental knowledge”: ”Applying the knowledge and skills they have learned” and “Exploring tasks“ in “Practical Way of Learning” don’t work by themselves. They have to be associated with each other.

Expressing their feelings about what they have learned and experienced and communicating clear and accurate information, exchanging ideas and making further progress on their own ideas and the group’s ideas is considered very important in education today.

We think that the students’ ideas and how they apply their knowledge and experience, is important in the Space education program.

We would like them to understand how important presentation skills are in communicating to others what they have experienced and thought. Also we would like them to learn “How and what to communicate” and “Balance of input and output”.

We will endeavor to stimulate the students’ interest through “Space- themed” activities filled with dreams and adventures. They will learn many things actively and joyfully instead of passively studying only for exams and choosing high school and university fit to their scholastic standards.

We will support children in their life choices by helping them to express themselves, achieve their goals and learn many things.
